We will set up push notification for our web app or websites.

First, we will have to understand the basic working of the push notification, the general details required to set up, and the technical specifications required. We will see everything in this post.

It is obviuos that we will want our push notifications to reach users in both the cases, that is 1, when the user is using the app and 2nd, when the app is in the background. 

For this we will have to have a service worker running for our web application. In short service worker is a web application specific event driven programm, which is installed on the browser and is active all the time even when our app is not in the use and manages all the backend scenarios.

The steps required for Push Notification.

- Check whether notification and serviceWorker facility is available on the browser or not.
- Request For Notification Permission.
- Check Whether service worker is available, installed and running for the app or not.
- Check for pushManager subscription  from the installed service worker.
-  Get the token and send it to backend system.
-  Actually recieve the push message and to show to the users.
