As I have used Django at backend, so I will explin everything related to python.

The process includes - 

- First we need to install the fcm-django package.
- Get our Private key from Firebase
- Initialize the app at backend and send the token

In our settings.py file, import - 

```
import firebase_admin
from firebase_admin import credentials
```

and then initialize the app - 

```
cred = credentials.Certificate(os.path.join(BASE_DIR, 'credentials.json'))
firebase_admin.initialize_app(cred)
```

here credentials .json is a private and secured key, which we can get from the firebase console,
note that this is important to securily store the credentials.json file and hide it from public access

In [part 4](https://www.ranuvijay.me/blogs/get-the-current-token) of this series where we learned about getting the current token and saving it to our backend system. It is important to know the fields when using fcm-django, so the request from front should be - 
```

```

**registration_id should the value of the current token**

and now we can define our serializers.py file as -

from .models import notification

class notiSerializer(serializers.ModelSerializer):
    class Meta:
        model = notification
        fields = "__all__"


class FcmDeviceSerializer(serializers.ModelSerializer):
    class Meta:

        fields = "__all__"
```

where notification is the user defined model with fields like title, description and image.

and define our views.py as -

    queryset = FCMDevice.objects.all()


class notificationViewset(ModelViewSet):
    serializer_class = notiSerializer

        serializer = self.get_serializer(data=request.data)
        if serializer.is_valid():
            title = serializer.validated_data.get("title")
            body = serializer.validated_data.get('body')
            img = serializer.validated_data.get('imglink')

            data = {"title":title, "body":body, "image":img}
            message = Message(data)
            devices = FCMDevice.objects.all()
            try:
                devices.send_message(message)
            except:
                return Response({"error":"wrong"},status=status.HTTP_400_BAD_REQUEST)
            serializer.save()
            return Response(serializer.data, status=status.HTTP_201_CREATED)
        return Response(serializer.errors, status=status.HTTP_400_BAD_REQUEST)
```

Here on the create method of the notification model, we will send the notifiction to all the devices that we have current token of, 

FcmDeviceSerializer will list all the devices and so we should map our url to send current token to this serializer and this viewset FcmDeviceViewse, again FcmDEvice may have multiple fields but registration_id and active are two important fields and we need to send these two datas from our frontend.
