## We will see how to configure our frontend

I guess you all can install next.js and get started with it, if not you can follow the official next js [website](https://nextjs.org/). 

Next step is to initialze firebase app for our next.js project and for this we will create a directory called **firebase** under src directory and then create a file call config.js.

Install the firebase sdk - 

```
npm install firebase
```

And in the config.js file we can initialize firebase as -

```
import { initializeApp } from "firebase/app";

const firebaseConfig = {

// your project config details

};

export const app = initializeApp(firebaseConfig);
```

You can login to firebase console and go to your project settings and general tab to find details about firebase configuration.

Copy data for your **firebaseConfig** and update the values in above code.  

Till here we have initialized our firabse, in next blogs we will see how to  initalize our **firebase messaging** and use it in our application.
